Blaencamel Farm is situated in the beautiful Aeron valley, 5 miles from the coastal town of Aberaeron. Owned by Anne Evans and Peter Segger OBE, they have been farming here organically for over 30 years. This small 45 acre farm comprises of 15 acres of vegetables and grassland for the small sheep flock. The public trails through semi-ancient woodlands are a feature and there is a shop only selling farm produce.

Blaencamel is famous throughout the organic world for it’s compost. This provides good nutrition for the soil, removing any need for fertilisers. It’s comprehensive mix of micro-organisms counteract soil disease whilst waste products get used for something useful. Finally, the compost acts as a carbon sink enabling Blaencamel to make a positive contribution to the challenge of global warming.
The farm has strong links within the community. Local schools visit regularly and Blaencamel has hosted many events from University visits to international grower groups.
With an acre of greenhouses, Blaencamel is able to produce fresh salads year round and will grow most things our climate is able to support, including cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, broad beans, peas and aubergines.
